Sunday evening Matt and I celebrated our first Christmas together. I know it is early but this was the last weekend Matt and I were going to have to ourselves before Christmas so we took advantage.
So I have attached pictures of us decorating our cute little tree. I have also attached a picture of the new scriptures Matt gave me for Christmas that say are engraved with "Nedra Cox". Matt is so sweet. He heard me say a while back that I would like a new set of scriptures and promptly went out and got me a set. It was funny to see my soon to be new name all printed out like that for the first time.
I could not have been more excited about my new scriptures and Matt got a little teary eyed when he gave them to me. I love how sentimental he is. It means so much to me that he would pay such close attention to everything. He always picks the perfect gifts and says the perfect things. He is so caring and attentive. What a lucky girl I am. I can't wait to start our new life together. Now I am getting all sentimental...
This weekend was so great! Saturday was a bridal shower thrown for me by Marcy and Christi and a few other girls from my ward. It was beautiful! Marcy went all out on decorating her beautiful home and the food was fabulous. So many people came and I felt so blessed to have so many wonderful friends and sisters! I just love the women in our ward and stake! I could not believe how generous and kind everyone was. I received so many amazing gifts and feel so humbled by the love of these great women. I know everyone has a million more important things to do an yet you all sacrificed your time and talents to make me feel so special. Thanks girls! I wish I would have had my camera at the Shower to take pictures of how beautiful everything was. Darn it!
Saturday evening Matt and I went around visiting many of friends and delivering a little Christmas cheer. It rally go me in the Christmas spirit and excited for the next few weeks. It was so great to see so many of our friends and just be able to visit and enjoy their company. We are so blessed with an abundance of amazing people in our lives.
